What is “Zen Movement”?

Zen Movement is a fun and engaging program to build your body’s strength and agility with nothing more than the body itself! Taking the positions and movement patterns from tai chi, yoga, calisthenics, and various forms of kung fu, Zen Movement is an exciting new program that is sure to help you develop mobility and flexibility for your everyday life and beyond.

Why should I join?

The “martial arts” has always been just that; and art. And the instrument for that is is your body. As we age, we wrongfully begin to accept that there are just things our bodies “no longer do.” As our lives become more and more sedentary, the range of motions we put ourselves through daily shrink, robbing us of vigor.

Zen Movement answers that by using the tools you were born with (your own body) to reignite your physical prowess. We begin with simple movements that any fitness level can do but that can also be deceptively challenging the more they are repeated. Through these differing and various flows of motion, we help you develop fine muscle control and motor function in a fun, lighthearted, and energetic environment.
